I don’t know if this has happened for others but when I pressed the option to say I liked Gawain, Galahad and the dragon friend all that came up was a blank screen. The other options work but not that one.
Started rereading again because of the new dragon friend stuff and spotted this: you said size 2 times, it would be better to only say it once you could just remove the part in the "- -".

Wow, this is amazing. So much content in five chapters, and so freaking well written. I love this story, it's characters, and the way the themes are dealt with. I love it's pacing and I'm left wanting so much more. Chances are I'll be joining that patreon, this was just too damn good.
At first, I was just happy to let my Mordred be lil momma's girl cos I love Morgana but my God. Slowly and steadily, I just want nothing but to hiss at everyone awful to them! T:< No wonder there's nothing but hatred in that poor momma's heart!

I'm also so very happy seeing people friendly with the Le Fays. Like, I adore Morgana and Robin's relationship. It's just that wonderful comfortable friendship where one can just say whatever they want w/o fear. It's nice. So heartwarming especially in that temple scene. And Junia's a sweetheart--sweet 'ol Junia that needs a hug ; w ; I adore that Morgana still has these amazing people by her side no matter how prickly she is!
ALSO! Morgana and Accolon are so adorable aughhh SO CUTE!! My heart!
I really love that there's no black and white in your story. Everyone has so many layers and you can't help but understand why they are how they are. It makes it so much more confusing for dear little Mordred but I love it! It's perfect! Gives you that right amount of angst and fuzzy feelings in the chest!

There's an error I found in the last chapter of the demo though when you have selected Nimue as a dance partner. It looks like the oblivious romance is not properly coded in. Please lemme know if you need the save file for this or if this screenshot is enough.
You could have made Morgana cartoonishly evil, or her friend a simple side character, or Arthur the obvious right one. You could have made so many moments an obvious strawman, but you didn't. I can't gush enough about how nuanced and intricate you made these characters, where every motive makes sense.
I also love the dynamic personality at play. I LOVE how many options there are to respond to a situation, instead of pigeonholing me into like, 3 obvious personalities. It's such a great feeling that in every selection of options, i find one that is exactly how I feel in the moment.
This is so well written. The pain and strife are balanced and so perfectly crafted. Everyone is sympathetic, whether you like them or not. I love the range of romantic options, though Galahad is my fave by far.
I'm looking forward to more and so happy to see how active you are!
When playing a trans Mordred, Since Mordred knows Nimue as a young child then transitions later in life, when meeting Nimue in the future when she’s then 19 and Mordred 15, Just wondering if there would be any confusion or thoughts on it there from Nimue? Or even Merlin because he isn’t around constantly, had the news just spread to him before hand? And how everyone seems to already know of their transition/change in pronouns right away?
I wonder if news of Mordred's transition has just spread fast, especially since the castle staff has been described as pretty gossipy before, and Mordred + Morgana are kind of infamous, so it makes sense any gossip about them would be seen as pretty "juicy". Or maybe Mordred and Morgana have been intentionally correcting others on pronouns and such so the news spread, I'm not sure.

If Mordred is out then it's common knowledge, a lot of nobles/well-known people sort of make a little announcement so people can know to refer to them accordingly, so Nimue and Merlin know. HOWEVER some instances where characters instantly know Mordred's pronouns where they literally just came out only to someone close to them are actually errors that I'm still catching.
I remember wayyy back when people seemed almost disgusted at the idea of romancing the dragon friend, and now we have the ability to romance said dragon friend lol. The way things ended up working out is insanely funny to me 😭😭 super excited for the next public update!!
I just played through the demo and this was awesome! It kept me on the edge of my seat and it was so interesting. Currently playing through as a female Mordred with the hopes of romancing Galahad. I adore the way he was written! All of the POV’s are great and I love how Mordred’s opinions and choices really mold the story. You are doing a great job with this and I can’t wait for more!

So what happens is that whichever choice you click on, it won't take you to the next passage? It's a weird issue but I don't know what's happening; I didn't hear of anyone else having this issue and I play-tested it myself and it works fine, so it sounds like it could be an issue on your end. I've heard of there sometimes being issues when playing in Chrome. Are you playing on a phone, browser or the itch app?
I'm playing on phone internet browser, and the same issue happened when i moved to Firefox. The choice box for complexion will turn red when I click on it but not change to another screen. And if I scroll after clicking it will unclick and return to original shade of choice boxes. I can click other complexion choices and they'll change colour but nothing happens.
Will I miss a lot if I move straight to character creation? I'd love to not have to, bit if it is an issue on my end, I would not even know what could be done lol. So far I really like the story, and want to continue!
I think I just realized what the issue is. So, the way Twine works is that if you click/touch/hover over the box surrounding a choice, it will change color without registering as you having clicked on it. You'd think, since the choices have a dividing box, that clicking anywhere within it would work, but I forgot it's more of an aesthetic thing. So for the choice to actually register, you need to click on the text itself.
And to answer your question, though now you should be able to advance regularly through the game: the quick character creation is there for people who already played through the game and want to jump straight into later chapters. I added it for ease of playing when adding new chapters, since old saves can break if I make certain coding changes.
HELLO!? Safe to say this game is one of finest IF I've played overall. This is seriously good writing. The story has great pacing, and the characters are so well crafted! I was immediately captivated. I was also totally starved of Galahad during his departure, it was a hard time. I'm determined to make progress with him

I'd like to voice my concerns about the amount of Romance Options, as many, many stories tend to bite more than they can chew and add too many characters that will each branch into different stories and ultimately lead the author to abandon the project because their scope was set too broad :(

Playing as an energetic but sometimes aggressively sarcastic Mordred who argues with Galahad all the time, but can't deny that she feels inexplicably and inescapably attracted to him is absolutely peak.
Bonus points for not really hiding her attraction post-latest-timeskip, which confuses him even more.

She just gives off some distrustful energy tbh 🤷♀️ can't really explain it since I'm running on 4 hours of sleep 😌. Im confused with the dragon romance option i dont know how to express my confusion. Is it normal for humans to fall in love with their dragon partner? cause if im reading it right their dragons dont have a human form
Yes, in BOC it's normal for humans and dragons to fall in love as a result of the dragonblood's attempts to bridge the disconnect between humans and dragons (or at the very least, it's not seen as incredibly strange).
I think it's more normalized because it's shown that the dragon thinks and communicates in the same way as a human (can make jokes, be thoughtful, even rude). Therefore, their bond with Mordred develops as any other would. They are not seen as a pet or a lesser being, but rather a friend. Which would mean, considering a lot of people fall in love based on their partner's personality, that it would not be strange to fall in love with a dragon companion. Although I'm not going to pursue them myself, I find it less weird due to the way that the dragons are established in the story! Hope that clears it up a little.

For now there's only the one when we were kids and one when we meet again and tbh she is probably my top RO. Is it partly because Merlin is her father so i want Mordred to trow their relationship into his face when he clearly doesn't like mc since they'll be the undoing of Camelot? Yes, yes it is. I love the scenes we have up until now with her, I don't know what's between Nimue and Bronwynbut whatever it is and however good Bronwyn may be, I still hate them, honestly..back ooofff Nimue's mine 😒
Another question: How will the romance with the dragon friend work...? I personally will try to have them as an RO mostly because i want to see every romance path there is. I didn't really think about romancing them but now I'm curious and HAVE to see how that will work out. → now after playing thru all the chapters that are out, i have to say i actually like the way they are always there for eachother 😭 Love the new scenes that were added a lot because even if you aren't going with the heart choices you still get a cute/funny/frienly scene with them

LMAO, idk how taken nimue would be with mordred setting her ex on fire-without provocation, anyways- but hey, first time for everything? this is based off of old tumblr asks, but from what i remember bronwyn is in a similar position to galahad and percival when mordred heads to camelot: she thinks they're incredibly suspicious and wants to 'investigate' what mordred and morgana are up to, quote unquote. so, probably plenty of chances to antagonise her in camelot regardless!

Another question: How will the romance with the dragon friend work...? I personally will try to have them as an RO mostly because i want to see every romance path there is. I didn't really think about romancing them but now I'm curious and HAVE to see how that will work out. → now after playing thru all the chapters that are out, i have to say i actually like the way they are always there for eachother 😭 Love the new scenes that were added a lot because even if you aren't going with the heart choices you still get a cute/funny/frienly scene with them

So far, the patreon demo involves quite a bit more Nimue content sans Bronwyn (and don't worry, by the time you decide to pursue Nimue romantically Bronwyn will be out of the picture iirc? She's a very minor character in the grand scheme of things.)

LMAO, idk how taken nimue would be with mordred setting her ex on fire-without provocation, anyways- but hey, first time for everything? this is based off of old tumblr asks, but from what i remember bronwyn is in a similar position to galahad and percival when mordred heads to camelot: she thinks they're incredibly suspicious and wants to 'investigate' what mordred and morgana are up to, quote unquote. so, probably plenty of chances to antagonise her in camelot regardless!
